The tradition continues...

My heart is warmed and I breathed a sigh of relief to learn that Godshill Pottery has reopened as of August 2025 in the safe and appreciative hands of potters Beth and Stephen Marshall, in company with Anne-Marie and Fred Feiber. With long-time Godshill resident and former WI President and stalwart Pat Marshall, this well-known potting family has found their new and so appropriate home.

The new website (https://godshillpottery.com) tells us that they all feel 'privileged to reopen and hopefully, preserve the spirit and fabric of Godshill Pottery...' and that they are both renovating the building as well as selling their pottery, ceramics, paintings, books and craft. What a happy and fitting way to perpetuate the long tradition begun by the Charman family.

Many thanks to Steve Marshall for the use of his lovely photos and we wish them every happiness in this iconic building.

For the full history of Godshill Pottery you can read Chris Charman's wonderful memoir: In the Spirit of Godshill available on this website.

Thankyou for such a lovely write-up and we hope to welcome you to the Pottery soon. We also look forward to coming over to the visitor centre to learn more of its history and see Tom Charman's carvings.
