Take Three Ponies, Christopher Charman's account of the pony trek he undertook in 1958 with his wife-to-be Kate, includes this wonderful frontispiece by New Forest artist Alan Langford. Alan stepped in to recreate this atmospheric drawing almost overnight as the original he had given Chris and Kate some moons ago had disappeared. It sets the scene for their departure from Godshill in the New Forest... Thank you, Alan!
