Saigon memoir published

We are thrilled that our new book by Martin Slater, Stranger in Saigon has arrived from the printers. It’s an eminently readable and very entertaining account - thanks to Martin’s dry sense of humour - of the time he spent as a medical laboratory technician with the British Medical Team in Vietnam from 1968 to 1971. How one copes in a war-torn country, full of bureaucracy and in the face of lack of supplies, language difficulties and unfamiliar customs and surroundings, still resonates today. This is not a book about war however, but about people and survival in a confusing world where not everything goes to plan.

Publication date for the book (ISBN 9780957273689) is 26 March 2022 when it will be available from our website or can be ordered through your local bookshop.
