One of my favourite artists outside the New Forest, I was thrilled to hear that Gordon Close's online exhibition at the Old School Gallery Alnmouth in Northumberland, has just begun despite the difficulties of lockdown. While it was meant to be a full blown show of his paintings and lithographs, which obviously couldn’t happen, Gordon tells me that the Gallery was very determined to do something. They’ll be adding more work as the exhibition continues (until 26 March) and putting extra images on Instagram etc. There are always ways and means...
