Not Thinking Straight poetry by John Paddy Browne

Not Thinking Straight | John Paddy Browne | Observations on key life moments

This book of selected poetry , the second volume from John Paddy Browne, looks back on themes he visited some thirty years ago - with the benefit of hindsight. They are simply written observations on key life moments which many will identify with, personal and emotive with a sprinkling of ironic humour.

Brought up in Derry, Browne left school at 16 and joined the Ordnance Survey in Southampton, becoming their cartographic librarian. Instrumental in the folk revival of the 1950s, he was a founding member of the well-known Fo'c'sle Club. In 1991 he published Map Cover Art which highlighted the artwork of Ellis Martin and others from the 1920s and 1930s. John's long friendship with the artist Sven Berlin resulted in 25 years of letters which were published as Sven BerlinLetters to a Friend.
