Cycling Tales by Godshill Pottery's Christopher Charman. Overseas adventures include Costa Rica and Nepal

Cycling Tales | Christopher Charman

£20.00Price

Join Christopher Charman as he takes a break from the New Forest's Godshill Pottery and departs on a series of challenging cycling adventures overseas. Travelling with his wife Kate, sister Danae and her husband Peter, all approaching their seventies in the first decade of the 21st century, they discover unfamiliar territory including Costa Rica, Nepal, Slovakia, Latvia and closer to home The Hebrides.

Under the auspices of the Cyclists' Touring Club (CTC) they tackled terrains they would never have dreamed possible.

The book is interspersed with an entertaining look back at their Grandfather's exploits (Ernest Westlake, the geologist) with Christopher's mother (aged 9) on an eventful 500kms cycling tour in France in 1905.
